AudibleSpeed (GPS Speed Monitor) delivers continuous audible monitoring of your speed, providing an innovative approach to speed tracking.

This utility app allows users to customize multiple speed ranges, each linked to a specific sound effect and RGB color code. By leveraging the GPS capabilities of the iPhone (available in all iPhone 3G/3GS models), it offers a comprehensive suite of features:

• Displays current speed in both digital and analogue ("speedometer") formats, alongside a graph chart tracking the last 80 seconds.
• Plays the designated sound effect whenever your speed falls within a defined range.
• Offers the option to repeatedly replay the sound effect at configurable intervals as long as your speed remains in that range.
• Alters screen frame/background colors to match the assigned colors for each speed range.
• Displays the name of the current range (or sound effect name if left blank) along with additional parameters.
• Tracks and presents maximum and average speeds for your session, as well as total time and distance traveled.

In situations where the GPS signal is lost (such as inside tunnels or between tall buildings), or if GPS data becomes stale (older than five seconds), the app emits a warning beep and shifts the display background to black and white.

Initial Setup:

• The app guides new users through a warning disclaimer screen upon first use.
• A settings screen allows users to select their preferred speed measurement units (MPH, KM/H, etc.).
• A sample set of speed ranges is created, which can be modified or deleted later to suit user preferences.

Location Services:

To function effectively, this app requires permission to access "Location Services." Ensure that "Location Services" is enabled and "Airplane Mode" is disabled on your device.

In addition to displaying speed, the app shows current longitudinal, latitudinal, and altitude data. However, it does not track location beyond displaying this information or store any location data except for total distance traveled calculations.
